Barcelona has power
Barcelona Bridal, the ultimate destination
Last week was very special for Barcelona. The Fira de Barcelona calendar saw Alimentaria and Barcelona Wedding Week taking place at the same time.
Both events demonstrated the potential of the Barcelona brand as a destination for gastronomic and wedding tourism. On the one hand, gastronomy is one of the economic pillars of the city, internationally renowned for its quality Mediterranean cuisine and as the birthplace of many great chefs who have travelled the world with their Michelin stars. On the other hand, Barcelona Bridal Week has placed the city at the epicentre of the bridal industry.
Barcelona is becoming one of the most sought-after destinations for many foreign couples. This is something we highlighted in our presentation at the Barcelona Wedding Summit last week, as interaction with other cultures has always been a source of inspiration for Toni Seguí. We've been lucky enough to organise many weddings in other parts of the world, taking our special way of creating events to our clients' places of origin, as well as organising and decorating weddings for foreign couples who have travelled to Barcelona with their whole family to celebrate their wedding. One of such weddings that we had the great honour of organising was the Hindu wedding of Shristy Mittal, the niece of the second richest man in India. The good weather, the gastronomy and the diversity of the city's cultural and architectural heritage allowed them to make their wedding an unforgettable experience in such emblematic and beautiful places as MNAC, Barcelona Maritime Museum, Montjuïc Fountain, Hotel Arts and the Italian Pavilion at Fira de Barcelona.
That's why we believe that we need to create a brand for Barcelona and work on it with passion. This goal requires the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and is being supported by Barcelona Turisme, which is working to highlight the city's position as a wedding destination.
Below we present the new promotional video by Barcelona Turisme, "Barcelona and me", which shows the lifestyle of Barcelona and the tourist, architectural and cultural attractions of this cosmopolitan, multicultural city open to the Mediterranean and the world.
Of course, as our beloved Peret used to say, "Barcelona has power!"
